How we Work
Initial Meeting
We have an initial meeting with you, on the phone or in person. We learn about your needs, your budget, your deadline, and we go over some preliminary ideas about the the media you’ll use (e.g., video, animation and text graphics), and the format and tone (e.g., academic and documentary style, or funny, fast-paced web commercial). Based on the initial discussion we draw up a Statement of Work — this is a both a contract and a guide to keep us on track with costs and workflow, and to keep clear who does what, by when.
Script Writing and Storyboard
We create a draft script that includes the information we need to cover, and when you’re happy with it, we create a storyboard like the one below. We spend a lot of time making sure we understand the language and the visuals that will be right for the piece. Clients usually have lots of input at this stage.

Create the Video
We carefully plan the production, including casting, location scouting, and booking of crew members. The day we shoot can be the most intense (and the most fun); everyone is working together to make sure we get the right shots and the right quality, and when that’s done, post-production begins. We make a rough cut of your piece, leaving holes with text for animation, if there is any. We often will make a rough track of the voice over, if there is one — again, to help you visualize the end product — and to help the animator time the animations.
The animator provides one or more designs for your review. When the design is approved, the animation is completed and laid into the video. We offer you several choices of music from stock services, until you find one you like. We lay the final voiceover and music on the video and submit for your approval.
Distribution and Hosting
We help you get your video up and hosted, and running on your website. We can also make DVDs for you, and make it in different formats you may need for different uses. As time goes by, we are still here for you, ready to update your video, or make new content. We want to make sure your videos look great and work perfectly.
